Questions people ask us

Why is my split AC not cooling after service?

The usual causes are a dirty filter or coil, a blocked outdoor condenser, low gas from a leak, or an electrical fault. Check them in that order. Our AC not cooling checklist walks through each one.

What is the best way to clean a split AC coil?

Isolate power, brush off loose dust along the fins, then apply a coil foam cleaner such as Aerosure AC Foam Cleaner and rinse gently or drain as the label says. A pressure washer can bend fins.

How do I find an AC gas leak before recharging?

Pressurise the system and spray a bubble leak detector such as Aerosure AC Leak Detector on flare nuts, brazed joints, valves and U-bends. Fix the leak before you recharge.
